Notes for Registering your company before you apply for SBIR/STTR grants
After you have formed your company (corporation etc.) you need to
go to www.grants.gov to register your company before you can apply for grants (full official instructions for registering your company can be found here).
Here are some notes that you may find useful when registering your company (updated March 2011):

NOTE – when you register preferable not to opt out of public display of data – other branches of government need the public display.
Information required to ahead of time to register:
- Company 9-digit DUNS#
- Company type – if incorporated – state in which the company was incorporated
- DBA (doing business as): company name
- fiscal year end
- Mailing Address – PO box OK
- Physical Address: PO box will not do – need a physical address
- Financial Information:

You have to define E-Biz Point of contact – has to be a senior person on the company, CEO, Executive, Founder etc. There is a list of acceptable titles on the website for ref.
