We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual to become a key member of our team. You will be helping develop assays and using them to test small molecule and protein drug candidates. You will also be helping create and purify protein therapeutic candidates. This is a growth and learning opportunity in a small company environment.

Qualifications:
*Bachelors in Biochemistry or Biology with a minimum of 2 years lab experience.
*Industry experience in a drug discovery environment a plus.
*Seeking individuals who are highly motivated, entrepreneurial, flexible, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities:
*Initially will focus on one or more of the following: Molecular biology, protein expression, tissue culture, cell-based assays, cell line development, viral gene expression.

SKS Ocular is developing novel technologies and therapeutics for macular degeneration and other ocular diseases. We are looking for an analytical chemist at the BS/MS level with 5 to 10 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology lab. The ideal candidate will be an experienced HPLC chromatographer able to conduct the analysis for formulation, stability, and in vitro release experiments. Experience with other analytical techniques such as gel electrophoresis, FTIR, fluorescence, DSC, and cell culture based bioactivity assays is desirable.

I’ll likely hire only one person this year, so I’m searching for an exceptional candidate that is a self-driven overachiever. The individual needs to be proficient with tissue culture, and preference will be given to those candidates that have molecular biology skills. Experience with high-throughput screening would be great, but isn’t required.
